"But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine." (Tit. 2:1)
The word Theology comes from two Greek words, theos meaning God and logos meaning thoughtful consideration. Theology “simply means thinking about God and expressing those thoughts in some way” (Charles Ryrie, Basic Theology, p. 9). Another way of stating it is that theology “is the science of God and his works and systematic theology is the systematizing of the findings of that science” (Henry C. Thiessen, Lectures in Systematic Theology, p. 1).
Evangelical Christian theology is predicated on the presupposition that the Bible is God’s inspired word and that it is inerrant, infallible, and therefore trustworthy as a guide for Christian faith and conduct. More so, through diligent study and the illuminating ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is understandable and its truths and principles are applicable to the Christian whenever and wherever he lives (1 Cor. 2:6-14; 2 Tim. 2:16-17; Tit. 2:1; 1 Pet. 2:2; 3 Pet. 3:18).
The audio lectures on this site are recorded from home Bible studies as well as from church services. Because we are a church that desires to reflect the grace of God, the audio lectures are provided without charge to those who want to learn. We hope the Bible lessons are a blessing to you as you pursue the Lord and a life of faith and righteousness that pleases Him.
